Mobile Plumber
We are excited to offer a permanent Mobile Plumber position in the West Midlands. The role involves travel across the region, visiting HMP Hewell and HMP Long Lartin. You will have access to a company van and fuel card, enabling you to commute between sites without hassle.
Standard hours: 39 hours per week, 08.00 – 17.00 with an hour earlier finish every Friday. There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis (with an additional 15% allowance of basic salary) and part of an on‑call rota.
What You Will Do
* Manage and authorise high and low‑risk maintenance activities across the FM estate, acting as Authorised Person / Responsible Person in line with Amey Safety Rules (training provided).
* Ensure Health & Safety standards are met across the contract.
* Perform statutory works on time, ensuring compliance.
* Conduct routine and non‑routine maintenance, including fault finding and repairs.
* Repair mains water supply and address life‑expired equipment.
* Inspect, sample water, and assess risks to maintain system integrity.
* Monitor the BMS System to ensure optimal performance.
* Support zero‑carbon initiatives, contributing to sustainability goals.
* Handle additional tasks as directed by your line manager, including working at height and in various weather conditions.
What You Will Bring
* NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (required).
* Experience operating light plant.
* Legionella Control (L8) and experience in a commercial environment.
* Ability to work alone and use initiative.
* Good all‑round project management knowledge.
* Full UK driving licence.
