We are seeking an experienced and driven Development Manager to play a pivotal role in growing regular giving, cultivating mid-level donors, and strengthening long-term philanthropic support within a prestigious Cambridge-based academic institution.
This is an interim role for a period of approximately 8 weeks
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop the Annual Fund programme, including budget oversight, appeals, and campaign performance reporting
* Deliver multi-channel fundraising activity such as telephone campaigns (Giving Days), digital appeals, and direct mail
* Support gift processing, donor thanks, and stewardship activity
* Promote understanding of philanthropy among students and internal stakeholders
* Work closely with alumni relations, events, and research colleagues to identify and develop prospects
* Promote and steward legacy giving, incorporating legacy conversations into appropriate donor interactions
Essential Experience
* At least 2 years’ experience in regular giving fundraising and donor relationship development
* Experience user of Raiser’s Edge
* Advanced MS Office skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
* Highly organised, proactive, diplomatic, discreet, and professional
* Results-driven, resilient, and collaborative
