An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor, supporting the delivery of major power transmission infrastructure projects across the Highlands.
Based in Inverness, you’ll be part of a dynamic site team working on technically challenging groundworks packages for high-voltage power projects — a key part of Scotland’s energy infrastructure upgrade.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out and surveying for groundworks and civil infrastructure on power transmission sites
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
Ensuring accurate levels and positioning for excavations, foundations, ducting, and structures
Supporting the management team to deliver projects on time and within quality standards
Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives
Maintaining accurate records and as-built data
Promoting and upholding health, safety, and environmental standards on site
What We’re Looking For:
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar discipline)
Solid experience in a Site Engineer role, preferably within the energy, utilities or civils sector
Skilled in setting out using GPS and total station equipment
Ability to manage own workload and adapt across multiple phases/sites
Strong understanding of safety requirements on high-risk infrastructure projects
Full UK driving licence
