Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Reading office with hybrid working. This role is suitable for someone with previous experience in a similar role with thorough knowledge of the pensions administration industry.

The Role
As a Business Development Executive with XPS you will:
* Support the Admin New Business Team in the sales/new business lifecycle across private and public sectors; from identification and fact-finding to developing and executing the sales strategy, attending prospect meetings and understanding client needs to enable XPS Admin to provide effective solutions.
* Work closely with the Central Bid Team to ensure materials are formatted correctly, the sales process is managed effectively, and deadlines are met.
* Collaborate with the ‘admin owner’ of a proposal to ensure high-quality submissions, including answering tender questions and proofreading documents before submission.
* Help develop creative documents, pitches and propositions.
* Develop the wider skills of XPS Admin employees in new business pitches to improve conversion from opportunities to sales (e.g., presentation skills, handling Q&As at site visits and client presentations, and understanding client drivers).
* Proactively follow up leads generated from within XPS Admin and the wider Group.
* Identify ways to improve XPS Admin’s proposition in collaboration with the Admin New Business Team.
* Produce to agreed timescales all reports required by the Admin New Business Team, maintain trackers and SharePoint sites, and keep activity up to date.
* Prepare the first draft of pricing for tenders for review by the Admin New Business Team and review existing client fees by applying the pricing model for new tenders when required.
* Work with the marketing team to promote XPS Admin’s services through social media, PR networking, technical briefings and seminars, and maintain an active LinkedIn presence for XPS Admin employees.
Your profile
Essential Criteria
* A thorough knowledge of the pensions administration industry.
* IT proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
* Resilience and ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Highly organized with the ability to prioritise own workload and work effectively as part of a team; capable of managing multiple projects.
* Excellent oral communication skills and ability to engage with various stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives; adapt communication style to the audience.
* Excellent attention to detail in written material.
* Ability to take ownership of one’s workload and operate with integrity within a compliant framework.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in a comparable sales and business development role, including bid management and proposal documentation.
* Experience delivering presentations in client-facing situations.
* Certification in pensions administration (e.g., CPC).
