Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust has a vibrant Radiographer led reporting service that covers multiple areas and is growing in scope. The job advert is looking for a dynamic professional to join our excellent reporting team with a subspecialty interest in chest and/or MSK reporting; other areas may be considered. The Trust has developed a state of the art reporting hub designed for ergonomics and minimal disruption for the optimal reporting environment. There is a mature home reporting strategy with equality between medical and non-medical reporting groups. Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic, specialist trained individuals with post-qualification experience in reporting to join our friendly team. The role includes working toward a seven-day reporting service. Radiology staff may work full-time or part-time with flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as part of core hours. The successful candidate must be flexible, dynamic, and able to lead a team with a passion for teaching, continuous professional learning, and quality improvement. There is cross-site rotation and a wide range of imaging modalities.
Darent Valley Hospital and Trust sites offer imaging services across several locations with cross-site rotation expected. We provide DR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, breast imaging, nuclear medicine, bone densitometry, interventional and cardiac angiography, and all aspects of general and fluoroscopic radiography. Job responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities: take an advanced role in the Radiology department, perform a comprehensive range of radiographic procedures, determine the need for additional examinations based on clinical presentation and image appearances, use advanced clinical judgement for independent decision-making, independently interpret plain film radiographs to inform patient management, ensure patients are treated with appropriate care, liaise with staff to ensure smooth operation of Radiology services, comply with relevant Health and Safety and radiation regulations, participate in out-of-hours reporting, contribute to Quality Assurance and clinical governance, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and maintain professional standards.

* BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(R) or equivalent
