An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Marketing Business Partner to join our central marketing team. This role will play an integral part in the Marketing, Communications and Brand senior leadership team.
Your Responsibilities
As the marketing lead for one of our largest and fastest growing business divisions (People Solutions) you will be the trusted advisor for all aspects of marketing and act as a fundamental facilitator to help each business division achieve their commercial goals and growth aspirations.
You will need to collaborate closely with the central marketing’s team of designers, content writers, communications specialists, digital marketing specialists and external agencies to deliver compelling multi-channel campaigns for each business division and their target audience clusters.
Working alongside the senior marketing leadership team, you will also have a significant part in shaping and delivering the future of Lockton’s brand identity, brand alignment across our global territories and market position over the next 5 years.
Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
* Engage, motivate, coach, and develop the Marketing Manager, ensuring they have active personal development plans and regular development check-ins
* Be the trusted advisor, strategic marketing leader, and key brand marketing liaison for People Solutions
* Develop multi-channel strategic marketing plans to support the business plan or objectives set by each divisional head
* Ensure divisional marketing strategies align to Lockton’s overarching marketing strategy, whilst also aligning to Lockton’s unique brand identity, differentiators, and narrative
* Work with central marketing teams and channel specialists to support strategic marketing delivery and create compelling multi-channel campaign activity
* Work closely with our global brand and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand alignment across global divisions such as People Solutions and Specialty
* Be a strategic lead in the brand positioning and execution of the overarching Lockton marketing strategy.
* Support the Head of B2B Marketing in developing the 5-year EU & UK marketing strategy to deliver the EU & UK business objectives.
* Play a key role in building the business case for required investment to deliver a 5-year Marketing strategy.
* Seek opportunities to innovate strategic brand creative with each division by collaborating with our in-house designers.
* Identify and pursue PR opportunities for Lockton and work with our central marketing team specialists to maximise publicity.
* Be a leading figure for your direct team, marketing team, and divisional stakeholders when driving best practice copywriting, content creation, brand awareness, brand engagement, lead-generation, digital marketing, social media marketing, PR, advertising, event marketing, and email marketing.
* Ensure the ongoing management and accuracy of Lockton’s website content.
Candidate Requirements
* Significant experience in B2B multi-channel marketing strategy
* Significant experience of leading strategic high-performing marketing teams.
* Effective manager, confident leader, and outstanding team player, able to work independently to drive results for business units under tight deadlines.
* Ability to plan strategic marketing activity across multiple different products or business units, prioritising delivery in terms of strategic importance and available resources.
* Considerable experience across all B2B marketing and communication channels, with a proven track record of improving brand equity and increasing lead-generation activity.
* Experience representing an organisation in a senior marketing role, meeting and liaising with high-profile business leaders.
* Previous experience of working in a mid-large corporation, preferably within insurance, financial services, or professional services. Previous experience within employee benefits marketing would be highly desired, though not essential.
* A proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach, driven by a commercial and growth mindset.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders to a positive, commercially oriented outcome.
* Very high standard of accuracy with attention to detail.
* Previous experience within a regulated environment (e.g., insurance or financial services).
