Job Description:
To lead on prevention and intervention to help residents sustain their tenancies. The team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. The role focuses on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, with referrals/signposting made promptly to support residents, especially vulnerable ones, ensuring they feel safe at home. Develop strong partnerships with agencies to assess and manage risks, employing various intervention and support measures to secure positive outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Address reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
* Support victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and general needs stock, ensuring risk assessments, referrals, and safety plans are in place
* Attend meetings with stakeholders to identify solutions for ASB cases
* Deliver a resident-focused response to ASB complaints and breaches
* Create and manage action plans for ASB resolution
* Utilize legislation and good practices for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
* Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators
* Prepare and serve legal notices, and represent the organization in court as needed
* Manage service queries, ensuring positive customer experiences
* Communicate effectively with victims, families, and perpetrators, ensuring accurate recording of their views
* Build respectful relationships with victims, families, and perpetrators
* Provide clear reports based on evidence and needs assessment
* Handle child and adult safeguarding matters promptly and effectively
* Manage complex, high-risk cases involving vulnerable perpetrators of ASB and abuse
Key Skills and Requirements:
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle
* Experience managing tenancy-related breaches in the public sector
