Senior Web Engineer (UI Architecture & Product Systems)
Remote (Europe, ±2h GMT)
Overview:
We’re building a browser-native gaming platform and hiring a senior web engineer to architect the front-end from scratch.
This is a foundational, high-ownership role where the front-end is the product.
You’ll build the player hub (think Steam-for-web), internal/admin interfaces, and the long-term architecture that supports them.
This is a UI-owning, system-level engineering role within a small, senior team.
What you will do:
* Architect and build a scalable front-end application from first principles
* Design durable state models and reusable UI systems
* Implement commerce flows (purchases, entitlements, account state)
* Collaborate closely with backend engineers on API design
* Debug cross-stack issues independently
* Make architectural decisions that scale over 3–5 years
We are looking for someone who:
* Has strong product and UI instincts
* Understands browser fundamentals (not just frameworks)
* Can build small apps without heavy framework reliance
* Reads backend code comfortably and understands API contracts
* Confidently challenges backend API design when needed
* Thinks in systems, not tickets
* Experience with Vue / React / TypeScript is important — but architectural reasoning matters more than tool familiarity.
This role is not:
* A pixel-pushing UI implementation job
* A framework-dependent frontend role
* A pure backend position
