Zero2Five is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established Afterschool and Holiday Club Childcare provider that offers wraparound care. They are seeking to employ an experienced Early Years Manager for their excellent setting based in the Bournemouth area.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Hold a Level Three or equivalent qualification and/or have at least 2 years of managerial experience in playwork or a comparable field, with the ability to pass Ofsted Suitability Interview.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
* Have a passion for early childhood education and development.
* Possess a solid background of working with children in similar settings.
* Have knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee arrangements for children's collection and ensure their safe transition to the club.
* Plan and organize activities in advance, involving staff and children where possible, maintaining clear records of these plans.
* Ensure the site complies with Ofsted EYFS standards, GDPR, health and safety requirements, etc.
* Monitor and address inappropriate behaviour according to club policies and legal guidelines.
* Act as the designated safeguarding lead of the club and report to the company's designated safeguarding lead.
* Ensure adherence to club policies and EYFS standards, striving to raise standards where possible.
* Lead weekly team meetings and holiday club meetings as per procedures, and participate in half-termly managers and training meetings.
* Promote the overall happiness and wellbeing of the children.
* Oversee Keywork for EYFS children, ensuring positive relationships with families, accurate record-keeping, personalized activity planning, and evaluation.
* Address performance issues with staff as needed.
* Ensure all team paperwork is up to date, including staff information forms, induction records, and sign-in/out sheets.
* Account for any absent children.
