We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Ruminant Nutritionist at our Omagh Mill.
The Role:
1. To provide customers and the sales team with technical advice and support on ruminant nutrition, diet formulation and feeding practice to maximise milk production or daily live weight gain;
2. Assist with the development evaluation of feed additives, concepts and the development of the Fane Valley Feeds product range;
3. To provide training and ensure the sales team are up to date with the latest research and best practice on feeding to maximise production and health of ruminant livestock.
The Person:
4. Have a degree level qualification in agricultural or animal science (or equivalent);
5. Possess sound knowledge of ruminant production systems and nutrition;
6. Preferably have previous experience of providing advice to farmers;
7. Ideally have previous experience working as a Ruminant Nutritionist and the formulation of feed plans and diets;
8. Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
9. Be IT literate;
10. Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team;
11. Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload;
12. Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK.
