Business Development Manager - Kent - Field Based

My client are a prestidgious ecommerce Logistics company and are curently seeking a Business Development Manager, who will profitably grow their services by seeking out and maximizing new opportunities through lead generation and face-to-face prospect meetings.
The Role: Business Development Manager
* Source, negotiate and convert new business contracts with SME’s
* Identify and convert cross selling opportunities covering the vast array of their group services
* Working with our telesales team to identify new business opportunities, industry verticals and prospect pipelines.
* Arrange a minimum of 9 face to face new business meetings per week to achieve target.
* Self-generating sales leads to achieve the weekly call target in addition to being provided appointments generated by the very successful internal telesales team.
* Producing regular sales reports and pipeline activity reports via Salesforce.
* Strategically identifying new sectors/opportunities to sell into.
* Assisting with other sales related tasks and projects within the business as required.
* Acquire a thorough understanding of client needs and requirements, creating action plans and achievable timescales to manage expectations and delivery.
Ideal Candidate
Must come from a logistics background or a servce led industry.
Must be extremely hungry and persistant
Proven track record of your success in hitting high annual targets
Excellent MS Office Skills and use of technology in the field.
