Are you passionate about helping to reduce homelessness? At Connection Support, we believe in a future where people are free from crisis. When crises happen, whether due to homelessness or poor mental health, we’re there to help every step of the way.
Our Milton Keynes Supported Accommodation Service offers 28-day short-term housing with wraparound support, helping people gain the skills and confidence to live independently.
We’re recruiting Bank Support Workers to join our team.
The impact you’ll have
As part of our team, you’ll support adults (18+) to move towards sustainable housing and independent living. This includes:
* Accessing housing options, benefits, and tenancy advice
* Linking to education, training, employment, or food banks
* Supporting with mental health, substance misuse, or other specialist services
* Developing practical skills such as budgeting and bill payments
* Encouraging community connections and, where possible, reconnection with family or friends
This is a zero-hour contract role, ideal for those looking for ad-hoc work, topping up income, or working alongside studies.
Shifts: Nights, 21:00-09:00
Pay: £13.16-£14.35 per hour (dependent on experience)
Closing date: Thursday 9th October

About You
You’re an excellent communicator who builds connections easily and adapts your approach to motivate and support people from all walks of life. You bring empathy, resilience, and a practical approach to your work, and you will also have:
* Experience supporting adults with complex needs, such as homelessness, mental health challenges, past trauma, substance misuse, or offending.
* The ability to work independently and within set timescales to achieve agreed objectives.
* Confidence and experience in managing challenging or emergency situations.
* An understanding of, and ideally experience in, working within a Trauma Informed Care framework.
* Experience carrying out risk assessments, needs assessments, and support planning.
* A strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
* Knowledge of housing and benefits systems (desirable).
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).
