Job Description At Lifeways we provide specialist support and recovery services for people with enduring mental health needs, supporting them in the transition from institutional environments back into their own home within the community.

We are looking for caring, honest, innovative individuals to join our dedicated team of Bank Recovery Support colleagues to positively engage with our clients in our 'Enhanced Community Recovery’ supported living service in Stafford.

Part Time 28 Hour Contract Shift Pattern
- Sleep shift is: 12-2200, them from 2200 to 0800 sleep shift then back on shift from 0800 to 12noon the following morning.

Early shifts are Late shifts 1200-1900 Benefits include Competitive rates of pay for Sleep In shifts Refer a Friend cash reward Free enhance DBS check Professionally supportive team and employer 28 days annual leave (pro rata) Access to NEST Pension Bike 2 Work Scheme Discounts on high street and online shops, supermarkets, holidays and events Employee Assistance Programme About you, about the role You may already have experience of providing care to people with mental health support needs, although full training will be given to enable you to provide recovery focused, person-centred support for our clients to live as independently as possible within the community.

You will already have an understanding of the needs of people living with mental health and its effects, the willingness to learn, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have good I.T.

skills, including word, databases and e-mails.

If you have an NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care, that’s great! If not, we will support you in obtaining this and beyond.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

At this service : The people we support live with mental health conditions.

We work with quite a diverse range of mental health illnesses, such as schizophrenia, Bipolar, anxiety, depression.

Some behaviours are self-harming, self-medicating with substances.

Some verbal aggression.

We work with a lot of people that have a forensic history are under the Firs-team.

These PWS are under the MOJ and have conditions to their discharge.

It is a busy service with a lot of professionals coming and going.

Therefore, candidates need to have calming a nature.

Staff are required to have a good understanding of Mental health conditions ; they need to be positive in nature and confident.

Staff will need be confident in lone worker and working of their own initiative.

Good IT skills, spoken language, communication skills are required. xkybehq
