Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join a lovely primary school starting in September. The role is working in a Year 5/ Year 6 class, starting on a long-term role with a guarantee after one term of progressing to a permanent role if successful in the role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young learners, utilising effective teaching strategies to educate and inspire students. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring that all students feel supported and engaged in their learning journey.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
* Educate students in various subjects, fostering a love for learning and encouraging critical thinking skills.
* Manage classroom behaviour through effective strategies, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
* Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behaviour, fostering strong partnerships for student success.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the school environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
Requirements
* QTS
* Previous experience working in a KS2 class across, teaching year 5 and 6 class
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their development in a supportive environment.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and classroom management.
* Previous experience in teaching or working with children is advantageous but not essential.
