Hunter Selection are working with a household name in South Wales, based in the Newbridge area, who are looking to recruit a maintenance engineer to their engineering team. This is a great time to join a secure and established business with a long history in South Wales. This role would be well suited to an experienced engineer who has worked on shift and can work in a multiskilled capacity.
Role And Responsibilities
* Ensure maximum machine availability at minimal cost through effective PPM schedules.
* Work with other plant engineers and team leaders to focus on achieving machine maintenance hours on planned work.
* Implement a Total Quality Approach across the site throughout all duties.
* Maximise resource use and maintain quality maintenance standards.
* Record spares used and ensure delivered spares are stored correctly.
* Participate in an objective-driven process engineering strategy with clear, realistic, and achievable objectives and performance indicators.
* Update the plant register and ensure compliance with permits.
* Manage overlap/handover to and from the other shift.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
* Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Engineering qualifications such as Apprenticeship, NVQ Level three, HNC are desirable.
* Experience with machinery such as PLC-controlled machinery, packaging machinery, pneumatic controls, etc.
