What you’ll be doing
* Lead a small team of food managers to manage the grocery shop floor in one of our supermarkets.
* Execute exciting trading events by working closely with the store leadership team to ensure we win.
* Take full accountability for the store in the absence of a store manager, role‑model and coach for high standards and efficiency.
* Manage compliance with processes and safety while building a passion for great shop‑keeping and a fantastic customer experience.
* Ensure a large team of colleagues is performing at their best, visible on the shop floor, managing people matters and celebrating success.

Essential Criteria
* Experience leading large teams in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment and building a culture of ownership.
* Track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and improving KPI’s across sales, stock, satisfaction and engagement.
* Success in delivering and improving KPIs, driving results that matter.
* Experience managing sensitive and complex people matters, including performance, absence, and formal employee relations.
* Leadership experience in an operational environment (retail, hospitality, food service) owning departmental performance and leading the store when senior leadership is absent.
* Evidence of leading change, rolling out new ways of working, embedding systems or shifting mindsets.
