As a Learning & Development Advisor at Poundland, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and capability of our central, DC and retail teams.

Your Impact And Responsibilities
* Guide and support the administration of training and learning activity, coordinating internal/external training logistics (venues, invites, materials, trainers, invoices).
* Manage the Learning and Development inbox and resolve queries promptly.
* Support teams with LMS use and troubleshooting, driving LMS engagement across the business.
* Provide admin support for learning initiatives.
* Act as a key point of contact within the L&D team for all stakeholders.
* Champion communications for L&D, ensuring programmes are well-publicised and fully engaged by the business.
* Advise People Partners, sponsors and colleagues on individual and team development solutions, learning pathways and career development options.
* Serve as the first point of contact for all general Learning & Development queries.
* Source and manage external providers for specialist and expert-level development, ensuring quality and alignment with business needs.
* Collect and analyse feedback, continuously evolving learning offer.
* Contribute to wider L&D, change and people projects as part of the People team.
* Consistent review of retail training tools, amending to ensure relevance and creating new tools where needed.
* Consult and work collaboratively with the Learning & Talent Manager and Digital Learning Content Lead.
* Maintain a schedule of operational retail activity including compliance training, seasonal activity and operational activity aligned to business needs.
* Facilitate and organise the induction programme, including e-learning administration.
* Collaborate with experts to create impactful learning content (eLearning, video, face‑to‑face).
* Deliver engaging induction programmes for new joiners.
* Deliver some select training sessions and facilitate development workshops.
* Ability to deliver a variety of learning approaches, from traditional methods to modern, technology‑driven solutions.
Skills And Knowledge
* Good numeracy skills and high standards of written English, proof reading and attention to detail.
* A broad range of learning and development experience or a suitable qualification would be an advantage.
* Accreditation in a recognised psychometric profiling or personality profiling tool is desirable.
* Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
* Demonstrable knowledge of learning theory such as Kirkpatrick and the training cycle would be an advantage.
* Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within HR or L&D.
* Experience supporting the delivery of training programmes, workshops, or e‑learning.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
