Position Overview
Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) is looking for a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team, ensuring a safe environment across our Suffolk & Norfolk sites. Based in Ipswich, the successful candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and part of a team that provides comprehensive maintenance service in a varied environment. Gas Safe Registration is preferred but not essential; training will be provided if the right individual is found.
Responsibilities
- Providing a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned, routine and reactive maintenance
- The repair and maintenance of a wide range of mechanical services and equipment on site
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
- You will be required to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out-of-hours service on a rotational basis
