We are looking for an Operations Manager with a passion for food and maintaining the highest quality food standards. The role focuses on high-caliber contracts working with our clients within the Central and North Region of Scotland. The successful candidate will enjoy working with people and building great relationships with clients, managers, and team members. They will support and develop excellence, add value to all tasks, deliver on financial targets, and leave a positive footprint daily.
The successful applicant will have proven experience working at an operational level within the contract catering or hospitality industry for clients with exceptional standards and will be keen to work as part of our leadership team.
As Operations Manager, you will be fully accountable for the P&L, business development strategy, and people management & development for the Operational Division in your area. You will employ a commercial focus, deliver excellent customer service and outstanding food, and develop a positive, motivating culture.
The role supports the Regional Director and covers a leading, exclusive client base with exceptional and consistent standards.
The ideal candidate will have a craft and culinary background and previous contract catering experience.
Candidate Requirements
* Passion and knowledge of great contemporary fresh food and service
* Experience delivering exceptional senior management operations in a contract catering environment for high-standard clients
* Ability to build strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong motivation skills with a lead-by-example approach
* Outstanding financial management skills - commercial and fixed price
* Knowledge of innovative marketing and merchandising skills
* HR best practices and retail skills
* The right to work permanently in the UK
* Ability to undertake an enhanced DBS and provide references covering 5 years and overseas police checks
* Proven experience in compliance
* Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills in English
* Knowledge of office management systems
* Outstanding organizational, analytical, and time management skills
* Experience working in a multi-site, mobile, or remote capacity
