Are you a hands-on Continuous Improvement Coordinator with a manufacturing background and excellent people skills? Do you know your way around a report and pride yourself on interpreting data to find solutions that improve yield? If the answer is yes, DS Smith is hiring! About the Role Reporting to the Operations Excellence Manager, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. Your mission will be to identify and eliminate process waste, improve yield, and optimise raw material usage (paper, starch, water). Key Responsibilities: (included but not limited) Accurately measuring waste at a granular level to enable data-driven improvement programs. Providing technical leadership to reduce controllable waste and raw material consumption. Producing and presenting weekly and monthly waste reports to the leadership team. Delivering training and implementing new operating procedures across the site. Analysing performance data to identify opportunities for improvement while maintaining high Health & Safety standards. Ensuring the site has a robust, team-based, and data-driven waste reduction program, sharing best practices to drive results and capability development. About You Minimum Requirements: We’re looking for someone with: Continuous Improvement experience in a manufacturing environment. A proven track record in hands-on problem solving and yield improvement. Strong IT literacy, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to challenge current processes and propose realistic solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills. Six Sigma certification (preferred). Good understanding of Manufacturing Health & Safety regulations. Able to work to the required shift pattern.
