Director - Rural Land Management

Overview:
A leading property consultancy is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join their Rural Land Management and Consultancy team in Inverness/North Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role managing a diverse portfolio of rural estates and assets, while working alongside specialists in residential, farming, forestry, natural capital, and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead asset management for a major estate client, collaborating closely with senior leadership.
2. Oversee a wide range of rural assets including let farms and residential properties, supported by internal teams across administration, surveying, farming, and environmental services.
3. Conduct rent reviews, lease negotiations, dispute resolution, and manage repair and improvement programmes.
4. Ensure delivery of client objectives and compliance with internal standards.
5. Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business and expand client services.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
6. Proven experience managing rural assets, particularly let farms and residential properties.
7. Strong leadership and delegation skills.
8. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
9. Capable of working under pressure and delivering high-quality outcomes.
10. Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to enhance business performance.
Qualifications:
11. Relevant degree (undergraduate or postgraduate).
12. MRICS qualified (Rural pathway) with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
13. CAAV/SAAVA membership is advantageous.
