Executive Communications Manager
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 months
Rate: £51.59 per hour via Umbrella
The Role
We are supporting a global organisation in their search for an experienced Executive Communications Manager to support senior leaders across finance and HR. This is a high‐profile role suited to a well-rounded communications professional with a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and experience operating in complex, global environments.
The role focuses on shaping and delivering impactful internal and external communications, executive positioning, and employee engagement initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support senior finance and HR leadership with strategic communications and executive positioning
* Lead communications and change management activity across HR and Finance transformation projects
* Develop high‐quality communications materials including:
* Executive presentations
* Leadership briefings and speeches
* Written communications, articles and letters
* Video messages and digital content
* Social and internal platform content (e.g. Viva Engage)
* Translate complex business topics into clear, engaging, and impactful communications
* Collaborate with global, cross‐functional teams to deliver integrated communication campaigns
* Support and host global virtual events, town halls, and webinars
* Coordinate quarterly financial communications support
* Manage content and documentation via SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
* Work with external suppliers where required to support content creation
* Provide additional support across global communications initiatives as needed
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 3 years' experience in communications, public affairs, or within a public relations agency
* Proven experience handling confidential information prior to publication
* Strong experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
* High level of strategic thinking combined with hands‐on delivery
* Strong stakeholder management skills across functions and geographies
* Comfortable working in fast‐paced, high‐visibility environments
Technical Skills & Knowledge
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including:
* Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* Outlook, MS Forms
* Viva Engage and Teams
* Confident supporting and running virtual meetings and webinars
* Understanding of communications analytics, tools, and metrics
* Experience working in global, multicultural environments
* Background in highly regulated or technical industries is beneficial (but not essential)
