Finance Analyst | Private Equity Consultancy | London / Hybrid
Harmonic Finance | Certified B Corp partnered with an international private equity consultancy. They have invested in and supported leading tech start-ups and scale-ups, utilising their internal resources to create value for their Portfolio. This is a collaborative opportunity to join a high-performing, lean team at a pivotal time in their expansion.
The Role
This role reports directly into the Finance Manager (FP&A) with emphasis on financial reporting and analysis, supporting across the different business units. Around 50% of the remit will be dedicated to the consulting business unit; this role also offers exposure to the growth, buyout and investment teams. This is a hands-on role best suited to someone with strong financial reporting experience, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to business partner across teams. You will need to be comfortable working independently, but you’ll benefit from exposure to a private equity and consulting environment, making this an ideal step for anyone looking to transition from Financial or Professional Services into a Fund environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage annual budgets, working closely with leadership to align financial planning with business goals
* Produce accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports, providing insights on performance
* Prepare financial forecasts, scenario analysis and variance analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making
* Business partner with the wider team and report on Work-in-Progress (WIP), contract pricing, and billing, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and supporting commercial decision-making
* Enhance financial systems, dashboards, and reporting processes, driving efficiency and automation
* Contribute to strategic initiatives such as pricing strategy, investment cases, and new product development
* Communicate financial insights clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders
* ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified or Part-Qualified
* Demonstrated financial reporting and analysis experience
* Advanced Excel skills
* Experience using ERP systems
* Strong communication skills and ability to partner with senior stakeholders
* Comfortable working with colleagues across international offices and time zones
Qualifications / Experience
* Experience in professional services, financial services or a fund environment
* NetSuite Experience
* Prior use of Power BI / dashboarding tools to improve financial reporting
Salary
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 + discretionary bonus (typically 15–20%)
