We wanted to share some information about him so you have a clear picture.
Nazeir is nearly 4 years old. He is affectionate, very active, and enjoys interaction. He loves outdoor play, climbing, jumping, singing nursery rhymes, clapping games, and sensory activities. He responds well to warmth, consistency, and clear instructions.
In terms of communication, his receptive language is strong and improving. He understands instructions well and can follow multi-step directions (for example, putting items away, getting something from another room, etc.). His expressive language is still developing. He uses some words, signs, and yes/no responses, and he often sings or repeats phrases. We continue to support his communication development at home and with professionals.
He is energetic and curious, and does require close supervision for safety. He may attempt to climb furniture or explore cupboards if not redirected. Clear boundaries and calm redirection work well with him. He responds best to simple, positive instructions (e.g., “Feet on the floor” rather than “Don’t climb”).
He can become frustrated at times, especially if he cannot communicate what he wants, but this is improving. When regulated and supported, he is happy, smiley, and very loving.
He benefits from:
Predictable routines
Clear, simple language
Outdoor movement
Calm redirection rather than raised voices
Positive reinforcement
We are looking for someone patient, consistent, and confident who is comfortable supporting an active child who may need a bit more guidance than average.
We are happy to discuss his needs in more detail and answer any questions.
