We are looking for a motivated and experienced Domestic Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our care home.
The Sandford Nursing Home is a happy, welcoming environment set amongst the Shropshire hills with luxurious accommodation and expert, nursing-led care.
In this vital role, you’ll manage rotas, support and develop staff, and oversee daily cleaning operations to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. You’ll carry out regular audits, maintain infection control standards, and ensure all health and safety and COSHH regulations are followed. With your strong leadership, organisational skills and attention to detail, you’ll help us deliver exceptional housekeeping services that support the dignity and wellbeing of our residents.
Skills and experience required:
* Relevant vocational qualification in cleaning/housekeeping or equivalent experience (Essential)
* Supervisory or management qualification (desirable)
* Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping
* Previous supervisory experience leading cleaning teams
* Experience working in healthcare, care home or similar regulated environment
* Strong leadership and team supervisory capabilities
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Excellent awareness of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
* Commitment to providing exceptional service to residents, families and visitors
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication
Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced with Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
