Responsibilities
* Lead safeguarding within the school, ensuring statutory and non‑statutory requirements are met.
* Liaise daily with agencies, parents/carers and staff on matters of wellbeing, child protection and safeguarding.
* Provide support, advice and expertise to the safeguarding team.
* Collaborate with the leadership team and other Witherslack Group sites to develop safeguarding practice.
* Maintain comprehensive safeguarding records and reports.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
* Portfolio of CPD related to safeguarding and child protection.
* Outstanding interpersonal and problem‑resolution skills.
* Genuine empathy and a supportive approach to children and staff.
* Full UK driving licence.
