Are you an experienced HR leader with a passion for delivering high-quality advice and driving continuous improvement? We're partnering with Burberry to recruit an HR Advisory Service Manager, responsible for leading a team of advisors and ensuring line managers across the organisation receive timely, consistent, and expert HR support.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role where you'll oversee day-to-day operations, manage team performance, and play a key part in developing manager capability and confidence in people management.
The Role
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Advisors to deliver responsive advice and case management support.
- Oversee case triage, workload allocation, and service performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and quality standards.
- Provide expert input on complex or escalated people matters, ensuring risks are well managed and advice is consistent.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Centres of Expertise, and Legal teams on more complex cases.
- Identify patterns in queries to inform service improvements, policy development, and manager toolkits.
- Champion self-service HR tools and resources, driving greater manager ownership and accountability.
- Monitor key metrics such as case resolution times and customer satisfaction, using insights to shape strategy.
- Partner with Learning & Development to build manager capability in core areas including performance, absence, and employee relations.
- Ensure policies are applied consistently while promoting inclusive, values-led practices.
- Lead the evolution of the advisory service model, exploring opportunities for efficiency, automation, and scalability.
About You
- Proven experience in an HR management or partnering role, ideally within a shared services, advisory, or CoE model.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practical HR policy application.
- A track record of leading, coaching, and motivating high-performing HR teams.
- Experienced in managing complex ER casework and supporting line managers through sensitive issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive improvements.
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience working with HR systems (case management/self-service platforms).
- Committed to continuous improvement, wellbeing, and inclusive practices.
