Leeds Law School sits in the heart of Leeds, the most important legal centre outside London and home to over 200 law firms employing more than 10,000 professionals. We have been teaching law since 1924 and offer undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses alongside an ambitious research strategy.
We are investing in our academic provision and wish to appoint three inspiring and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as either lecturers or senior lecturers. We expect all our staff to contribute to our teaching provision, deliver a high-quality student experience and publish.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to teaching provision and deliver a high-quality student experience.
• Engage in research and publication; for Senior Lecturer, demonstrate evidence of research and publication to REF level, including successful funding applications for research and/or knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to the development of course content and assessment, and participate in continuous improvement of teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualifications
Candidates for the Lecturer role should either hold a UK legal professional qualification with relevant experience or be qualified to doctoral level. The successful candidate will also hold a UK undergraduate law degree or GDL (CPE), and ideally a master’s qualification. A successful candidate will have experience of teaching and learning in an HE or equivalent setting and demonstrate a commitment to research and publication.
Senior Lecturer applicants should meet the Lecturer requirements above and demonstrate evidence of research and publication to REF level, including successful funding applications for research and/or knowledge transfer.

* Interviews will be conducted online. Longlisted applicants will be invited to submit a recorded teaching session for shortlisting.
