Marketing Business Analyst (Events & Tradeshows)
Job Description
We are seeking a Marketing Business Analyst with a passion for events, data, and insights, and an interest in project management, to join our Global Events team. This role drives best‑in‑class analytics and reporting across a global portfolio of B2B events and tradeshows, while supporting the delivery of key Events Operations initiatives.
You will work closely with global marketing, insights, IT, and events stakeholders to turn complex data into actionable insights and improve tools, processes, and reporting that support commercial decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Events & Tradeshow Insights
1. Act as the single source of truth for events data and reporting
2. Deliver monthly, quarterly, and event-level insights to support commercial decisions
3. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Salesforce, Qlik, Azure, and Excel
4. Partner with Marketing Insights and Analytics team (MI&A) to integrate events data into enterprise analytics platforms
5. Research and apply best‑in‑class event measurement and ROI practices
6. Leverage AI and automation to improve reporting efficiency
7. Manage third‑party analytics and reporting suppliers
Projects & Operations
8. Support and improve the Events Operations tooling landscape
9. Lead small to mid‑size projects, from scoping through delivery
10. Prepare project documentation (objectives, scope, plans, cost estimates)
11. Deliver process improvements, user stories, and workflow designs
12. Train and enable business users on tools and self‑service reporting
13. Create standard work instructions to ensure consistency and scalability
Required Qualifications
14. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
15. Marketing or commercial analytics background
16. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
17. Hands‑on experience with Salesforce reporting, Qlik, Excel (Pivot Tables)
18. Understanding of agile ways of working
19. Experience managing small to mid‑sized projects independently
20. Fluent in English (written and spoken)
21. Comfortable working in a complex, global matrix organization
Preferred Qualifications
22. Experience with Azure / DevOps (nice to have)
23. Knowledge of statistical analysis and ROI measurement
24. Strong stakeholder communication and data storytelling skills
25. Understanding of marketing, finance, and data models
26. Experience designing scalable reporting or application solutions
27. Familiarity with enterprise architecture and system integrations
This is an office-based role. This role can be situated in the UK or in the Netherlands.
- For the UK you will be situated out of our Farnborough office.
- For Netherlands, you will work from our Amsterdam office.
