We are looking for a reliable, guest-focused Hotel Receptionist to be the friendly face of the hotel and ensure every guest has a smooth, welcoming experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Greeting, checking in and checking out guests in a courteous, efficient manner
* Handling reservations, cancellations, modifications and upselling where appropriate
* Managing phone calls, email enquiries, walk-ins and liaising with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B)
* Handling payments, producing invoices, managing key control and guest folios
* Providing information about the hotel and local area (transport, attractions, etc.)
* Resolving guest issues and complaints promptly and professionally
* Ensuring the reception area is tidy, organised, and presentable at all times
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience in a reception or front-office role (hotel or similar hospitality environment advantageous)
* Is customer-service oriented, friendly, professional and enjoys interacting with guests
* Has good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Is capable of working under pressure, multi-tasking and prioritising duties especially during busy check-in / check-out times
* Has good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Is comfortable using computer systems (PMS, reservation software), phone and email systems
* Is flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Handle and resolve guest complaints. Taking reservations,
* When needed, serve at the bar and restaurant.
