Senior MEP BIM Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BIM technician/coordinator to join our growing M&E team at Tetra Tech, based out of our city centre Manchester office, with the benefit of hybrid working, giving you flexibility around where and when you work.
The role is to assist the M&E design team with the delivery of mechanical and electrical design solutions in the form of Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and other digital deliverables. Working to the latest BIM standards/UK BIM Framework, you will be integral in ensuring the successful delivery of building services projects across a wide range of sectors, within both public and private domains, including defence, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the rest of the design team in the preparation of clear and accurate drawings, models, and associated deliverables, including setting up new Revit and CAD projects using company templates.
* Producing and amending models and drawings based on engineers’ mark-ups.
* Creating schematics and linking them to model data.
* Ensuring files are stored in accordance with the company’s QA procedures.
* Performing model exports such as IFC, NWC, DWFx, DWG, and PDF formats.
* Adding classification data to models.
* Using built-in interference checking tools and other software solutions to QA check models.
* Liaising with the BIM Manager to maintain industry and company standards.
* Ensuring MEP models comply with project BIM requirements.
* Coordinating MEP models to facilitate installation without major rerouting.
What we are looking for
You Will Have:
* Experience acting as Task Team Information Manager on BIM projects.
* Extensive knowledge and experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of MagiCAD, Navisworks, and/or Solibri is beneficial.
* Experience working as part of an M&E design team with good understanding of building services.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence liaising with engineers.
* The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
You will be required to attain security clearance to SC level and be able to work on MOD and scientific sector projects requiring security clearance.
