Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time SEMH Science Teacher to join our team.In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Science lessons to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
You will implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere. Collaboration is key, so you will work closely with the SENCO and other support staff to provide targeted interventions and ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed. Monitoring and assessing student progress is also a core responsibility, and you will provide regular feedback and reports to both parents and staff.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the Science curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and accessible for students with SEMH needs. Your role will also include supporting students' emotional well-being, offering guidance and encouragement where necessary. You will maintain accurate records of student behaviour and academic progress and participate actively in school-wide activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification, with a specialism in Science. Experience working in a SEMH setting or with students who have additional needs is highly desirable. Strong behavior management skills, a passion for supporting vulnerable students, and the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of individual students are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, are also required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
