We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Rapiscan detection systems. This hands-on, customer-facing role covers the full range of RTT, CT, Checkpoint, BPI, and Trace products, primarily around Heathrow with occasional travel across the South, UK/Ireland, and overseas.
Must be based in Heathrow/Gatwick/ locations
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, repair, and maintain Rapiscan systems at customer sites
* Conduct routine preventative and breakdown maintenance
* Provide out-of-hours standby cover as part of established teams
* Deliver basic operator and technical training when required
* Carry out site surveys and advise customers on technical matters
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software faults
* Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
* Provide feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management, and QA for continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a customer-facing engineering role
* Flexibility to travel, often at short notice
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and customer pressure
* Recognised engineering qualifications (BTEC, City & Guilds HNC or equivalent)
* Strong electronics and computer knowledge, with Microsoft Office proficiency
* IT networking knowledge (CCNP or equivalent preferred)
