Are you an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking Bank Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our In-Patient Unit, primarily for evening and night shifts. You will support Registered Nurses in delivering skilled palliative and end-of-life care, while also taking on additional responsibilities to support safe, effective, and compassionate care for patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities
* Deliver safe and compassionate personal care and support to patients with complex palliative needs
* Undertake and record a range of clinical observations, reporting changes promptly to the Registered Nurse
* Assist with extended duties (following training) such as wound care, catheter care, PEG feeding, and supporting with controlled drug checks
* Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their loved ones, including at times of bereavement
* Contribute to care planning and monitoring of patients progress alongside the Registered Nurse
* Act as a role model and support for junior Healthcare Assistants and students
* Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, person-centred care
