Band 6 Occupational Therapist role at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT). This is a 9-month rotational post with a diverse range of clinical areas across Winchester (RHCH), Basingstoke (BNHH) and Andover (AWMH).
Job summary
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Band 6 Occupational Therapists across HHFT. The setting includes a broad rotation across acute, inpatient, and discharge planning contexts, with opportunities to lead on service improvement projects and provide clinical supervision and support to colleagues.
Main duties
* Rotate across Winchester (RHCH), Basingstoke (BNHH), and Andover (AWMH) on a variety of rotations and specialties.
* Demonstrate a broad range of relevant clinical experience in the inpatient acute hospital setting, acute rehabilitation, and complex discharge planning.
* Work within the acute therapy team as part of a multidisciplinary group of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Practitioners and Therapy Assistants.
* Promote patient independence with a focus on early acute inpatient rehabilitation, ongoing therapy interventions, and discharge planning based on holistic patient needs.
* Lead on service improvement projects; supervise therapy colleagues and provide clinical guidance to Band 5 OTs, physiotherapists, and therapy support staff.

Job responsibilities / Requirements
* Occupation therapy qualification and HCPC registration
* Evidence of experience within an inpatient setting and safe practice; ability to manage own workload with autonomous practice
* IT skills, effective written and verbal communication; full UK manual driving licence
* Desirable: RCOT membership; experience with audits/research; supervising junior staff; access to own vehicle with business insurance
Additional information
* The acute therapy team provides a 7-day service 8:30am–4:30pm, including bank holidays; a commitment to weekend working and 50% bank holidays is essential.
* Flexible working and part-time arrangements will be considered.
* Informal visits to meet the therapy team are welcome.
