Job Description
Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Signage Workshop Operative on behalf of our client based in Braintree, on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and preparing signage products within a busy workshop environment, as well as assisting with general workshop and production duties. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manufacture, assemble and prepare various types of signage to company specifications
• Operate workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Read and interpret drawings or work orders to ensure accuracy of production
• Carry out finishing tasks such as laminating, vinyl application and quality checking
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and products as required
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety guidelines
• Ensure all jobs are completed within set deadlines and to the highest quality standards
• Support colleagues and undertake any other duties required for the smooth running of the workshop
Experience, education & qualifications
• Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or signage environment desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
• Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
• Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
• Health and safety conscious with a commitment to safe working practices
• Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time hours 08:00 - 17:30
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
