The Opportunity
Are you a Contract Support specialist looking to take the step into a leadership role? Or perhaps you’re a Senior Administrator with a heavy finance background looking for a static site where you can truly "own" the numbers?
We are representing a leading, reputable Facilities Management company currently seeking a Lead Contract Support to join their Chester-based team. This isn’t just an admin role; it is the commercial heartbeat of a large-scale, high-profile contract.
The Role
As the Senior Finance Administrator, you will be the "right hand" to the Contract Manager, ensuring the smooth operational and financial running of the site. You will lead a small, dedicated team of administrators, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Financial Management: Owning the P&L, managing WIP (Work in Progress), raising invoices, and ensuring debt is kept to a minimum.
*
Team Leadership: Mentoring and managing a small team of administrators to ensure all contract KPIs are met.
*
Subcontractor Management: Ensuring compliance, vetting, and financial processing for all external partners.
*
Operational Support: Assisting the engineering team with scheduling, parts procurement, and job closures.
*
Compliance & H&S: Maintaining the site’s compliance "statutory" folders, ensuring all Health & Safety documentation is up to date and audit-ready.
*
Reporting: Producing monthly internal and client-facing reports on contract performance and financial margins.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have a "best-in-class" approach to organization and a sharp eye for financial detail.
Requirements:
*
Direct Experience: You must have a background in Contract Support or Facilities Management Administration.
*
Finance Literacy: Comfortable managing WIP, P&L reporting, and complex billing cycles.
*
Leadership: Experience managing or supervising at least 1–2 junior administrators/coordinators.
*
Systems Knowledge: Experience with CAFM systems (e.g., Concept, Maximo, Dynamics) is highly desirable.
*
Communication: Able to bridge the gap between "on-site engineers" and "head-office finance."
The Package
*
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience).
*
Benefits: Excellent pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, and healthcare options.
*
Progression: A clear pathway into Contract Management or Regional Financial Support roles within a global business.
*
The Site: A stable, modern static environment in Chester—no regional travel required.
