If so, join our Dogs team as a Pet Matching Officer, working alongside other Pet Matching Officers, Intake and Assessment Officers and Dog Care Specialists to ensure effective foster and rehoming outcomes for dogs in our care.
Responsible for overseeing current cases and ensuring rapid and appropriate outcomes our ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and have good record keeping skills, sharing learnt dog behaviour knowledge with our fosterers and customers.
In addition, they will;
* Efficiently match dogs with suitable permanent or foster homes based on individual needs, personalities and adopter or fosterer lifestyles
* Assess foster carers, customer and pet needs during the matching process to ensure successful placements and provide tailored support
* Develop and implement rehoming strategies for any long term or high need dog, considering their individual needs and characteristics to swiftly get them in to appropriate homes.
* Provide skilled support to address any challenges and enhance adoptability.
* Collaborate with other departments and teams within the organisation to ensure effective foster and rehoming outcomes.
By providing exceptional customer service to pet seekers and foster carers they will create a welcoming and engaging environment handling general enquiries and resolving issues effectively ensuring accuracy, data privacy and confidentiality at all times. They will have a chance to make a real difference to our rehoming outcomes.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need;
* Proven communications skills within a team
* A basic understanding and skills for Microsoft Office
* To be able to work both independently and under supervision
* The ability to work under pressure, whilst applying pragmatism to difficult situations
This is a full time, permanent position working every other weekend. The starting salary for this opportunity is £24,570 - £24,716 per annum, depending on experience. This will be complemented by;
* 36 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to 40 days after five years
