School Support Worker – Crawley
Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school in Crawley, who have a position available for a support worker to join their team.
This role is ideal for those who wish to work with students who have additional needs, and in many cases, require support academically for their studies.

Our client school in Crawley have asked us to support them in finding a strong and confident support worker to engage with their pupils who have additional needs, both pastorally and academically. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has either been working within Health and Social care, or a graduate with experience of working with SEN.
The school is situated in East Crawley, with easy access from local train stations and bus routes. This school supports a wide, local demographic, with a keen eye for engaging with the local community.
Supply Teacher Contract/Position Details
Location – Crawley, West Sussex
Position – Support Workers SEN
Type of work – Class assistant, supporting pupils with learning and behavioural needs
Start date – ASAP
Likely Duration – ongoing supply cover
Position end date – N/A
Contract type – Temporary
Full-time potential
Minimum rate of pay – £70 Per day
Hours – 8:20am-4pm (term time only)
Supply Experience, Training and Qualifications
You must have at least 6 weeks experience working with children and young people. Experience with some SEN is desirable.
Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.
To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must;
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Provide two professional child related references.
