Project Manager - Retail Fit-Out & Refurbishment
Location: London & South East
Site-Based: Croydon 2-3 days/week, remainder in London office
Salary: £400 - £500 per day (DOE)
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction contractor for their expanding fit-out and refurbishment division. This team delivers high-quality CAT A, CAT B, and turnkey projects across commercial, retail, education, and workplace sectors throughout London and the South East.
This role is based in Croydon, leading a team of 3 Construction Managers and the wider site team. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of complex, high-quality projects while working in a supportive, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring programmes, budgets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are fully met
* Lead site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver projects efficiently and to specification
* Act as the primary client contact to ensure commercial, operational, and delivery excellence
* Oversee a variety of fit-out and refurbishment projects, including CAT A/B works and turnkey solutions
* Drive project outcomes while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience managing fit-out and refurbishment projects in commercial, retail, or workplace sectors
* Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
* Commercially aware with the ability to manage budgets, programmes, and multiple stakeholders
* Experience working with main contractors or retail fit-out specialists preferred
* Professional, proactive, and results-driven approach
