Job Description: InCasa Aged Care and Community Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Aged Care Support Worker to join our team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, client-centred care to older adults in a community setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide respectful and sensitive assistance with personal care (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing).
* Support clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
* Assist with community access and transport to appointments, activities, or outings.
* Deliver companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation.
* Offer in-home respite care for carers and families when needed.
* Monitor and prompt clients with medications in accordance with care plans.
* Observe, document, and report any changes in client health, behaviour, or home environment.
* Ensure services are delivered in a culturally appropriate and inclusive manner, particularly for clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Work collaboratively with the broader care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
* Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain
* At least 1 year of relevant experience in aged care, home care, or disability support
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and follow care plans and schedules
* Bilingual or multilingual abilities — especially in languages commonly spoken in the community — are highly regarded
* Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
Pay: AU$70,000.00 – AU$85,000.00 per year
