Governance Buyer | Leading Food Services Organisation
Locations: Hybrid – 2 days per week in either Surrey, London, Cheshire, or Leeds
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 + up to 10% bonus + exceptional benefits package
Our client, a renowned name in the food services sector, is seeking a Governance Buyer to join their high-performing procurement team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to make a meaningful impact in a business committed to best practice and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring full compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations 2015, supporting end-to-end procurement activities while driving efficiency and consistency across the business.
You will be responsible for managing governance aspects of procurement exercises, ensuring they are compliant, efficient, and align with their strategic objectives. A crucial part of this role involves utilising the Jaggaer eProcurment portal to run tenders, DPS/Dynamic Markets, e-auctions, and further competition, ensuring all procurement exercises are conducted fairly and transparently. You will also support process improvement by identifying way to enhance the use of Jaggaer for greater efficiency.
What the role involves:
* Utilising tendering knowledge to help shape consistent, professional, and compliant further competition documentation.
* Create SOP’s & user guides, compile and deliver training/awareness programmes to the relevant stakeholders to ensure our ways of working are aligned across the teams.
* You will play a key role in the team’s ongoing success by providing input into our Category and Sourcing Strategies. Your contributions will help develop the most effective strategies for each category, supporting our savings KPI and market growth, while aligning with cost-saving objectives and improving the overall efficiency NHS procurement.
* Ensure team KPIs are met to deliver value and drive cost savings.
The person we hope to find:
* Experience in procurement/sourcing.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle multiple tasks and prioritise.
* Strong communication, and relationship management skills.
* Degree qualified / CIPS studier (desirable).
Salary and Benefits:
Up to £40,000 per annum + flexible working + competitive bonus + CIPS Sponsorship
