Job Type: Part-time - 20 hrs per week / 5 days a week
Job Overview: The HR Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organisation adheres to employment laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves monitoring compliance practices, conducting audits, developing training programs, and implementing strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy Development: Create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with current laws and regulations.
2. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and assess compliance with employment laws, including EEO, wage and hour laws, and health and safety regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HR policies.
3. Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for management and employees on compliance topics. Provide guidance to managers on compliance issues.
4. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain records, prepare compliance reports, and present findings to senior management. Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Collaborate with legal and regulatory bodies.
5. Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries, investigate complaints, liaise with departments, stay updated on legislation and industry best practices.
Supply Chain Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to laws and standards across procurement, production, transportation, and distribution. Manage risks, evaluate suppliers, ensure traceability, conduct audits, and provide training.
Qualifications:
* Desirable but not essential: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR, compliance, or related area.
* Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
* HR or compliance certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM, CCP).
* Experience in compliance audits and corrective actions.
* Salary: £22,250 per annum
