Job Title: Specialist Occupational Therapist
Job Location: The Grange, Thatcham, RG19
Salary: Between £38,005.50 - £45,513 per annum, based on 37.5 hours per week, 42 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Term Time Only - Full Time and Part Time considered

Collaborate with our passionate integrated therapy team to deliver high-quality care and support to our pupils, making a real impact every day.
In this role, you'll identify and address the strengths and challenges faced by your pupils, fostering their growth and independence. You'll conduct assessments, develop personalized therapy programs, and be involved in creating tailored interventions. Your dedication will empower pupils to thrive and reach their full potential.

A day in the life of a Specialist Occupational Therapist involves:
* Taking a neurodiverse affirming and trauma-informed approach to clinical work with a small caseload of pupils with neurodiverse needs.
* Assessing, developing indirect therapy programs, providing advice and consultations, and delivering direct therapy.
* Collaborating with the integrated therapy team, including Speech and Language Therapists and Creative Art Therapists.
* Designing and delivering training and mentoring for colleagues to develop the Occupational Therapy services, with support from the Clinical Lead.
Requirements to succeed as a Specialist Occupational Therapist:
* A recognized postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy, with an essential qualification in Sensory Integration and Processing, and HCPC registration with RCOT membership.
* Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist.
* Ability to complete or contribute to capacity assessments.
* Good IT skills—familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) is helpful.
* A full driving license, as travel to other sites and meetings will be required.
