Job Title: Senior Solar Sales Consultant
Salary: DOE - Uncapped Commission
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire (Office-Based)
Why this role
If you're tired of chasing cold leads, battling unrealistic targets, or selling products you don't genuinely believe in, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
This is a chance to join a fast-growing renewable energy business that is transforming the way residential solar is sold. Every enquiry you receive is inbound. Every customer has already expressed an interest. Your role is not to pressure people into buying. It is to educate, advise and guide homeowners towards the right solar solution for their property.
You'll be joining a business that invests heavily in lead quality, values expertise over hard-selling, and rewards consultants who build trust and deliver results. For ambitious sales professionals with solar experience, the earning potential is significant.
About the role
As a Solar Sales Consultant, you'll manage warm residential enquiries from initial consultation through to sale. You'll speak with homeowners, understand their energy goals, design tailored solar PV solutions, prepare professional proposals and guide customers through the decision-making process.
Using industry-leading design tools and bespoke internal systems, you'll create accurate solar system designs and present recommendations that genuinely meet customer needs. You'll remain the customer's main point of contact throughout their journey, answering questions, refining proposals and helping them move confidently towards installation.
This is a consultative sales role where technical understanding, relationship-building and credibility are far more important than aggressive sales tactics.
About the company
Our client is an established and rapidly expanding renewable energy specialist with a strong reputation for quality, customer service and technical excellence. Significant investment is being made into growth, systems, facilities and people, including a brand-new showroom and continued expansion of the internal sales team.
The culture is collaborative, supportive and performance-driven. Success is recognised, development is encouraged, and the leadership team is committed to creating an environment where talented people can thrive.
About you
You may already be selling solar PV systems, or you may come from a technical solar background such as installation, roofing, electrical work or system design. What's most important is that you understand solar technology and can confidently discuss it with customers.
You'll be organised, commercially minded and motivated by earning potential. You'll know how to build rapport, communicate clearly and adapt your approach to different customers. Most importantly, you'll care about delivering the right outcome rather than simply making a sale.
Rewards & growth
Alongside a realistic £50,000–£70,000 OTE, you'll benefit from high-quality inbound leads, ongoing training, genuine career progression and the opportunity to become part of a growing success story within the renewable energy sector. The business also offers a supportive office environment, generous holiday entitlement and flexibility where needed.
