Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements: We’re looking for someone with strong capabilities in the following areas: Experience with Bluetooth connectivity (device to app/tablet). Proficiency in Node-RED for creating or modifying workflows/data pipelines. A general understanding of IoT systems, including sensors, data flow, and cloud integration. Experience with connected devices, data flows, gateways, and APIs. Basic familiarity with Linux, Docker, VPNs, firewall rules, or similar technologies. Understanding of industrial or IoT protocols, such as Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, and HTTP. Responsibilities: As our IoT / DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in connecting our new IoT device. Your responsibilities include: Establishing reliable Bluetooth connectivity between new IoT hardware and tablets. Configuring and managing data flows into our cloud dashboard (ThingsBoard or similar) to ensure smooth end-to-end data movement. Developing and maintaining Node-RED flows to ingest, transform, and route data across IoT and industrial systems. Supporting the ongoing development of our upcoming LoRaWAN product, including gateway configuration and data routing concepts. Troubleshooting devices, gateways, networks, and on-site deployments. Assisting with basic tasks related to Linux, Docker, VPN, and firewalls to ensure secure data flows. Occasionally interacting with end customers to explain connectivity and data security aspects.
