Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting a customer Service Advisor on behalf of a global LED lighting manufacturer offering bespoke lighting solutions. The company supplies a wide range of LED products for commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public-sector environments, focusing on quality, innovation, and sustainable lighting. The key responsibilities of this role as a Customer Service Advisor: * Process sales orders accurately using the in-house system. * Prepare commercial invoices and arrange transport for Ireland and international shipments. * Handle inbound calls from wholesalers, contractors, end users, and external sales staff, providing information on stock, pricing, product details, ETAs, and general enquiries. * Support with customer escalations and help resolve issues promptly. * Communicate daily with Production and Warehouse teams regarding stock levels and dispatch of goods. * Liaise with the Technical team to obtain product information and assist with technical queries. * Work closely with a dedicated BDM and build strong working relationships across the business. * Assist the Accounts team with customer account queries and returns. * Support the Project Team with quotations when required. * Provide updates and reports to the Customer Service Manager. Qualifications and skills of a Customer Service Advisor: * Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality. * Ability to work independently with a proactive, flexible, “can-do” attitude. * Reliable team player who supports colleagues and contributes positively to the department. * Excellent communication skills, especially over the telephone. * Strong relationship-building skills across customers, sales teams, and internal departments. * Good planning, organisation, and time-management abilities. * Competent with Microsoft Office and database systems; experience with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage. * Able to remain resilient and professional when handling challenging situations or customer issues. * Quick thinker who can offer suitable product alternatives when required.
