Finance Assistant (Schools) Full-Time | Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Salary: £25,989 – £26,824 Hours: Full Time About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a central team supporting financial operations across a growing multi-academy organisation. Previous experience working within the education sector is required for this role. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, particularly in the administration of purchase ledger and general finance transactions. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency in financial processes. Key Responsibilities Coding, inputting and processing invoices Preparing payment runs in line with internal controls Maintaining finance systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity Resolving supplier queries including invoicing and payment enquiries Supporting wider finance team activities as required Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and policies About You We are looking for a motivated team player with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be able to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Essential criteria: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths Experience supporting financial or administrative processes Previous experience working with the education sector is required.
