The Director, Global Talent Management is a senior member of the Global Talent, Learning and Culture team within Global Human Resources (GHR). The main purpose of this role is to implement impactful, integrated global talent strategies that empower our people and our business, aligning talent strategy with business plans to support a high-performance culture.

All Global HR roles comply with regional location strategies.


Key Responsibilities

* Work with HR stakeholders and business leaders to create innovative, evidence-based talent management strategies that align with and drive the organization’s strategy.
* Assess return-on-investment and impact scenarios, identifying and implementing talent strategies for future workforce requirements.
* Collaborate with TL&C Heads and HR Advisory to design and implement multi-year talent strategy for Executive and Senior Management teams, aligning to Organisation Design and Human Capital Planning.
* Continuously improve talent processes, monitor KPIs/SLAs, and suggest mitigation actions.
* Enhance and optimize talent development initiatives with L&D partners to design and deliver talent programmes with measurable ROI.
* Provide thought leadership on Talent, Succession and Development to business leaders and executives.
* Consult with HR Business Advisors and Leaders for Global Business Groups to understand priorities, identify requirements, and establish effective talent solutions; participate in Talent meetings to challenge leaders and mitigate gaps.
* Manage centralized and offshore Talent Management resources; liaise with HR partners to ensure adequate resourcing across the global team.
* Provide 1:1 support to senior leaders and key talent to develop robust succession plans; advise on development tools and programs.
* Communicate the Talent Learning & Culture product suite to HR colleagues and leaders to drive collaboration and impact.
* Act as an escalation point for Talent Partners as required.
* Identify opportunities for HR process improvement through internal reviews and external best practices.
* Ensure regulatory compliance for Talent and Succession planning within the relevant jurisdictions.
* Leverage technology to improve the worker experience and resolve Talent Enablement requests.
* Respond to feedback through formal and informal channels to inform Talent-related decisions and support firm-wide strategy.
* Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in Talent and the future of work; incorporate new methodologies and technologies when appropriate.
* Deputise for the Head of Global Talent Management as required.
* Additional duties to support the agenda of GHR as required.


Work Experience

Essential:

* Demonstrated experience managing a talent management function across an international business.
* Experience working with senior leadership across multiple functions to build a talent-driven organization.
* Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Experience driving people-related change initiatives and high-performance culture through talent and development initiatives.
* Proven experience communicating and presenting to senior management.


Education / Qualifications

Preferred: A degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Human Resources or a relevant field.

Performance and Duties

The role will be assessed under the employing entity’s performance framework, with relevant input from the dual-hatting entity. Roles may be amended as required by business needs.

Compensation and benefits information applies to candidates hired in the United States; roles outside the United States have local market compensation and benefits. The typical base pay range is $150,000 - $185,000, with potential discretionary bonus/incentive. MUFG Total Rewards includes health, retirement, education, and other benefits. Flexible working requests may be considered in line with organizational requirements.
