CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - NUCLEAR ENERGY

Key Responsibilities
* Support analysis, design and construction preparation for civil and structural works on nuclear and energy projects
* Contribute across the full project lifecycle from bids to construction delivery
* Apply systems engineering principles and support requirements capture
* Prepare safety case inputs including SFRs, SDMSs and DSRs
* Produce calculations, finite element models, technical reports and design documentation
* Support compliance with nuclear safety standards and CDM requirements
* Participate in site surveys, inspections and technical investigations
* Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and design optimisation
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience or awareness of nuclear or other highly regulated industries
* Knowledge of civil and structural design standards and best practice
* Experience with finite element modelling and validation techniques
* Understanding of health and safety legislation
* Familiarity with BIM-enabled design environments
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proactive, organised and committed to continuous professional development
